As spring sunshine brightens our days, we wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for your continued support throughout the winter months. We understand the difficult decisions many face during these uncertain times, and your choice to visit Barnaby & Boo's means the world to us.
While this note comes two days after Mother's Day (better late than never!), we couldn't let the occasion pass without recognising all the incredible mothers who form the cornerstone of our community. Our special appreciation doesn't follow a calendar—you deserve celebration every day of the year!
Thanks also to Kings Church for organising a really popular Easter craft workshop at B&B's last Saturday. Fun had by all!
With beautiful weather on the horizon, we'd love to welcome you for a treat! Stop by soon – we've missed your smiles.
Cheers, Rob, Amanda, Barnaby & Boo's
Mother’s Day: A Celebration of Love, Strength, and Remembrance

Mother’s Day is a beautiful celebration of love, gratitude, and appreciation for the incredible women who nurture, guide, and shape us. It’s a day filled with warm hugs, thoughtful gifts, and heartfelt words that remind mothers just how much they are valued. But beyond the flowers and cards, it’s also a deeply emotional day - one that can bring both joy and sorrow, love and longing.
To all the mothers out there: Happy Mother’s Day. Whether you are a new mum holding your little one for the first time or a mum to grown-up children watching them navigate the world, today is for you.
To the mums of angel babies, whose little ones live forever in their hearts, we see you.
To the mums of rainbow babies, whose journeys have been filled with loss and hope, you are strong.
To those who are longing to become mothers and are still waiting for their miracle, we are holding space for you today.
To the stepmums who love and raise children as their own, your role is invaluable.
To the foster mums and adoptive mums who open their hearts and homes to children, your love is a gift beyond measure.
To the single mums who carry the weight of parenthood alone, your strength is unmatched.
To the mums who have lost their own mothers and feel the ache of their absence today, we send you love.
To the grandmothers who have stepped into the role of mum, your wisdom and care mean everything.
To those who have complicated relationships with their mothers or children, today may bring mixed emotions, and that’s okay too.
And to the mother figures—the aunts, sisters, teachers, mentors—who have guided with love and care, you are celebrated today as well.
Mother’s Day means something different to each of us. For some, it’s a day of laughter and shared memories; for others, it’s a day of quiet reflection and longing. No matter what this day brings for you, know that your journey, your love, and your sacrifices are seen and appreciated.
So tell us, how was your Mother’s Day? Did you celebrate with family, receive a special gift, or spend the day reminiscing? However you spent it, I hope it was filled with love in all its forms. 💜
